Welcome to Immanuel College – a Christian co-educational day and boarding school from Year 7 to 12, offering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
Our foster carers provide loving homes for children who have often lived with neglect or abuse.
We hope to continue to increase the number of carers so that children can grow up with families rather than in commercial care.
We also believe that early-intervention is key to preventing an increase in the alarming number of children in out-of-home care.
At Lutheran Community Care we do this throughout our family programs by building on the strengths of families and supporting children's development to ensure they are healthy and safe.
At the Family Zone Hub in Ingle Farm we support families before the parent-child relationship reaches crisis stage.
We offer parents with young children a place to come and connect with community.
It is a place where families can receive support in the tough times and celebrate with their children when things are going well.
Unfortunately due to funding cuts Family Zone is a place that needs your support in order to prevent the crises that our overburdened child protection system is now experiencing.
We hope that the recommendations of the Royal Commission will put further resources into where it can make the greatest of difference – in family support services - so that families are able to care and be strong fortheir own children.
